Were any of you aware of this upcoming sim? I remember it being in early development about 6 or so years ago but eventually the website disappeared and I assumed it was a failed project.

Well tonight I was having a look at the SimHQ forums (which I never do) and saw that Flexman was active and had a link in his signature. Went to the link and lo' and behold, Combat Helo. And its possibly not all that far off release.

Yep, I've been reading about this for a while now.

It looks beautiful. I thought it was strange setting it in RC West (Herat) as it's a pretty quiet region of Afghanistan but it made sense when Flexman started talking about campaigns involving Iranian invasions. Back to some old-school tank-plinking! Smiley

It's apparently not going to be as hardcore as a DCS product, but that's okay.

One of my favourite sims of all time 'A-10 Cuba' was pretty light-on but it had a flight model which felt fantastic and that was enough for me. Longbow too, had a couple of inaccuracies but the flight model 'felt' right and it was great fun.

Hey Bear, how did you find vietnam medevac?  Did you think the huey FM had a good feel?

Flex has always been big on the FM feel so I'm sure he'll do a good job.

Anyone feel like warming up for this in ArmA2 front/backseat?

Always keen for some tank plinking in an Apache.

Nice find.
