Patience my friend  .  Video is done I'm just working on the sound.  I couldn't for the life of me work out how to get fraps to capture in-game sounds with Windows 7, so i have to add it all in post.  Also, there are some 'special' sounds that i need to add

Sorry guys.  I was away for the long weekend.  I'm completely fine if you start the voting.  I've held it up long enough

Still have some stuff to do to it but this is basically it.  I'll need to upload it again because the quality is shocking for some reason.

Didn't turn out the way i wanted it to but oh well...

Just watched everyone's videos again:

Scatter - Vision and music suited perfectly.  That song automatically makes me think of helos, so a perfect choice. 

Thommo - Haha, exactly what we needed.  To remind people we are not just into Black Shark. 

Envy - Top shit mate.  Some bloody awesome shots in there.  Nicely edited too.

So how are we going to get these videos out there?  Should we make a single post over at the DCS forums?  I cant say I have seen any other squadrons having machinima comps. 

I'm also going to work on the outro to my video.  Overhaul it completely and add it to the Media section on the wiki for those that want to brand their videos. 

I'm going to add a few textures and subtle effects to it so it's not so 'plain'.  Any suggestions are very welcome!!

As I said at the start the main theme of this competition is the promotion of the VAAF and there'll be a couple of categories reflecting this.

and that perennial favourite: Biggest Douche

As long as everyone agrees, since Kif had an extension I think that it's fair that any category that he wins should be shared with the next place (a tie).

Voting

All current members of the VAAF are eligible (and encouraged) to vote, even recent recruits. Voting is compulsory for all filmmakers and you can't vote for yourself (after all we all know that our own film is the best).

To place a vote just PM me (click on my name and select "send PM") with the list of categories and your top two choices for each (in order of preference). Since each filmmaker only did one film it's probably easier to use the filmmakers' names. 

Votes are tallied using the Australian electoral preferential system. First preferences are counted and in case of a tie the next preferences are taken into account. If a count is close then the second place entrant will receive special mention.

I'll give everyone a couple of weeks to vote so voting will end Sunday 22/2/09 12pm EST.
