My Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs arrived today.  Grin

I put together a quick video, shows unboxing, then plugged in with the MFD control panel with some first impressions.

It is sad, but times are toug for small business. It was eithr a move, or a close down, so at least we have avoided that.
So be sure to support Aussie businesses wherever and whenever you can  Shocked

Probably the most tactical fun I've had in 3 years.

My goodness, ArmA2 is going off with a bang this weekend with BT, RangerKarl, Chokko, Ozcougar, GY, and myself taking part in various missions.

BT is doing most of the hosting and it's been silky smooth so far (maybe BIS have finally actually improved the lag situation). No screenies yet but I'm hoping to get some video later on of anyone who gets stuck on a rock (there's a really bad bug that results in you getting stuck in one spot on a rock and breakdancing - it takes forever to get off).

We're playing random co-op missions and I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm having a ball.

PS: Chokko is obviously a proponent of the saying "If you run out of bullets, don't run out of petrol" - he ran down more of the enemy in a captured UAZ that I got with the 50 cal mounted on the back!

I just read the email.

*** IMPORTANT NEWS FROM PC AVIATOR AUSTRALIA ***
PC Aviator Australia is on the move...
The PC Aviator Melbourne office will be closed permanently from Monday 6th September.

Most operations will continue as normal without extensive delays as our office is moved to Brisbane to continue operation.
We will not have a storefront in Brisbane, but we hope to open one in the future if demand dictates. We will continue as we have always done with mail order services of flight sim gear. It will just be coming from a new location now! There will be no other major changes in operation, except for the fact that we will have new contact details for ordering and correspondence.

Sad  Sad

A bit of an update on the Warthog. Our suppliers say December... well they might be guessing too, but they seemed certain they wouldn't see them until December, so there you have it.

Hamel - I have some "bad" news for you... That 2 hour drive might be a 2-day drive because the PC Aviator office in Melbourne is closing. The operation is being moved to Brisbane.
I will be able to supply you a Warthog from Brisbane of course.  Tongue

I picked up my cougar from PCAviator only a little over 1 year ago.  And the dead zone has annoyed me ever since.  I'll be looking for the Warthog no doubt.  Grin

I use to live 200 metres from the PcAviator store in Melbourne.  Now it's a 2 hour drive. But one I will gladly make to avoid the postal delay.
